Dennis Hedlund - Founder & President

Dennis gained broad experience and expertise in a wide range of challenging business environments, including the Financial Services, Banking, Mortgage Lending, Mortgage Services, Consumer Retail, Very Large Call Center Operations, and Communications/Systems Technology industries.

Immediately prior to founding the iEmergent Group, he was an Executive Vice President at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage for four years, where he led business change, strategy and performance improvement efforts across the company. From 1987-1996 he held various senior executive positions at Prudential Home Mortgage as EVP of Loan Servicing, Direct Consumer Business, Telesales, Call Center Operations, Training and Operations Analysis, and worked on a team that introduced a ground-breaking business model for centralized mortgage lending and on-line decisioning.

At the JCPenney Company, he designed and managed the creation and operation of a nationwide network of 15 large sales and reservation call centers that handled 90 million catalog, airline, hotel and direct response consumer calls every year. Prior to JCPenney, he designed and installed very large call centers, communications networks and call-handling operations for Rockwell International, a designer and manufacturer of high-speed digital communications switching systems.

A former Communications Officer in the USAF, he received a B.A. in mathematics from Gustavus Adolphus College.

An industry thought leader on homebuyer market dynamics and diversity, he has authored feature articles and op-ed pieces for Mortgage Banking Magazine and the Credit Union Journal.  In addition, he has been featured in many other publications, such as USA Today, MBA Newslink, National Mortgage News, Inman News, MBA Tech Newslink, Real Estate Technology News, and Broker Magazine.

Laird Hedlund - Managing Director

Prior to joining the iEmergent Group in 2004, Laird was the chief administration officer and director of resources at Orr Associates, Inc. (OAI), a Washington D.C.-headquartered consulting company that provides foundation management, fundraising and development support and services to nonprofit organizations across the U.S.

Laird received a graduate degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where she specialized in community development, nonprofit management, and organizational strategy. Previous to that, she graduated from the Honors Program at Swarthmore College with a degree in religion and sociology-anthropology.

Laird leads the new business development, marketing and organizational strategies for the Company, in addition to supporting client sales and fulfillment.

Bernard S. Nossuli - Managing Director

Bernard joined the iEmergent Group in early 2006. Prior to this, Bernard worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in the Washington Federal Practice, where he worked on projects such as the DOJ’s September 11th Victims’ Compensation Fund, led an assessment team of industry costs for the GAO, reviewed the effectiveness of an e-application for the Department of Veteran Affairs, and worked with the Department of Homeland Security on a project reviewing their operational audit effectiveness. His most recent work at PWC included a business process reengineering and change management implementation project for the FAA. He also worked in the mortgage industry in market development and internal strategies for two years.

Bernard received his MBA from Georgetown University with an emphasis on marketing and business strategy, and received a B.A. in economics from Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, PA.

Bernard leads the development of new business and market analysis tools, including the design and operation of Web/Internet services to iEmergent “Insider“ clients, information and data automation technologies, and project management support to clients.

Paula Sautter - Vice-President, Controller

Paula brings over 10 years of financial and office management experience to the iEmergent Group, having held a variety of management positions in the retail, veterinary medicine and financial services industries. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Chapman College, and is responsible for the internal financial administration and human resources functions of the iEmergent Group.
